Guidelines or Requirements for
Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation/Pautas o Requisitos para el Bautismo, la Primera Comunion, y la Confirmación
BAPTISM: Parents and Godparents are required to attend a Baptism class before the child is baptized. Parents are required to be registered members of this parish. All others are required to have written authorization from their pastor expressing that they are Catholics in good standing with God and His Church.
Bautismo: Los padres y padrinos deben asistir a una clase de bautismo antes de bautizar al niño. Se require que los padres sean miembros registrados de esta parroquia. Ortos deben tener autorización escrita de su pastor expresando que son Cathólicos en buena relación con Dios y Su Iglesia.
FIRST COMMUNION: Registration in the Parish is a requirement, and all parents are asked to provide copies of their children’s Certificate of Baptism prior to their receiving any Sacrament. Each child must be of seven years of age or older. Each child must have completed two years of faith formation to receive this Sacrament.
La primera Comuión: El registro en la parroquia es un requisito y se pide a todos los padres que proporcionen copias del Certificado de Bautismo de sus hijos antes de recibir cualquier Sacramento. Cada niño deber haber completado dos años de formación en la fe para recibir este Sacamento.
CONFIRMATION: Registration in the parish is a requirement, and all parents are asked to provide copies of their children’s Certificate of Baptism prior to their receiving any Sacrament. Each child must have completed eight years of faith formation and the completion of the Confirmation preparation requirements to receive this Sacrament.
La Confirmación: El registro en la parroquia es un requisito y se pide a todos los padres que proporcionen copias del Certificado de Bautismo de sus hijos antes de recibir cualquier Sacramento. Cada niño debe haber completado ocho años de foramción en la fe y haber completado los requistitos de preparación para la Confirmación para recibir este Sacramento.
